I loved dropping him off. I loved the last two weeks we spent getting him ready. Elder Luke Nelson, one of his absolute best BYU friends was there to greet him and be his host for the day, getting him settled in the MTC. Spencer couldn't get out of the car fast enough when he saw him.
Although I keep finding myself smelling his clothes and sitting in his room, I am excited for this adventure. I think I'll feel better once I get a letter from him. Right now, his larger than life happy presence in our home is just missed. But it will all be OK. I'm so happy for him. AND his room is now clean! That alone (clean spaces) makes me feel good.

The first email/letter is a lifesaver....he will be happy and enthusiastic about everything....oh and grateful. It's awesome to have a missionary!
You haven't called me yet! I must hear all about it. It is easier when you think of what a great missionary he will be and what a great experience he will have and all the blessings your family will receive because of his service.
I don't know if smelling the clothes will make it easier. But do what you gotta do.
I'm praying for you! Freals.
Can't wait to hear about is amazing adventures! You are a strong momma.
